Privacy Policy — Discount Wheel

Discount Wheel ("the App") is provided by MB KRISTETA ("we", "us"). This policy describes what personal information the App collects when a merchant installs it on their Shopify store, and how we use it.

Information we collect

From merchants (via Shopify): store domain and the access token that Shopify provides when you install the App. We use it only to operate the App. When someone in the store admin views the list of collected emails or downloads it, we log the store, the Shopify staff user ID and the time (kept 12 months) to protect visitors' data.

From store visitors (on the merchant's behalf): when a visitor uses the discount wheel we store:

• email address (required to spin);
• phone number (only if the merchant enabled phone collection and the visitor chose to enter it);
• the prize won, the discount code issued and the time of the spin.

From orders: when an order is paid, we check whether it used a discount code issued by the App. For such orders we store the order ID, order total and currency. We do not store customer names, addresses or payment details.

How we use it

• to issue the discount code and show the result to the visitor;
• to prevent the same email from spinning more than once;
• to show the merchant statistics (spins, codes used, revenue from the wheel) and the list of collected emails.

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for our own marketing. The merchant is the controller of their visitors' data; we act as a processor.

Shopify Customers: if the visitor ticks the marketing consent checkbox and the merchant has enabled it, the visitor's email is saved as a customer in the merchant's own Shopify store, with email marketing consent and the tag "discount-wheel". The merchant controls that data in Shopify.

Sharing

Data is stored with our hosting and database providers (Fly.io). If the merchant enables it, the discount code email is delivered by our email provider (Resend) solely to run the App. We do not share it with anyone else unless required by law.

Retention and deletion

• Visitor data is kept while the App is installed.
• When Shopify sends a customers/redact request, we remove that customer's email and phone number.
• 48 hours after the App is uninstalled, Shopify sends shop/redact and we delete all data for that store.
• Merchants can request deletion or a copy of data at any time via the contact below.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA, UK or another region with data-protection laws, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. Visitors should contact the store where they used the wheel; merchants can contact us.
